On behalf of all of us in Ryanair, we are truly sorry for any inconvenience the Covid-19 crisis may be causing you and your family.
The safety and the well-being of our people and customers is our main priority, and we are working closely with all state authorities to follow all WHO and EASA guidelines to minimise any health risk to our people and customers.
This week, on Tuesday (10 Mar), we suspended all flights to/from Italy (Sat 14 Mar to Thu 9 Apr) when the Italian Government ‘locked down’ all of Italy. While this situation is beyond our control, our Customer Service team have been helping customers move onto other Ryanair flights so they can get home. Please visit the dedicated section on Covid-19 on the Ryanair website for more information.
All customers who were due to travel on a flight that was cancelled have received an email advising them of their rights, and how to get a refund or free move. In the coming weeks we expect that Governments may impose further changes to our flight schedule and any effected customers will be notified by email. We will continue to comply with all WHO and EASA guidelines and we will follow any travel restrictions that are imposed.
If you are flying with Ryanair, we want to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to minimise risk. We have raised many of our procedures, beyond the protocols required by the authorities:
· We have enhanced our overnight cleaning with every aircraft interior being treated with hospital-grade disinfectant.
· Our fleet is fitted with extremely efficient HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestors) filters, which remove particles in the air, down to the size of microscopic bacteria and virus clusters (with an efficiency of better than 99.99%).
We hope these policies will reinforce your confidence so that you can book your flights with Ryanair as this Covid-19 crisis will pass and life will return to normal.
Over the last 35 years we have faced many crisis situations and, on every occasion, thanks to our customers and our people, Ryanair has emerged stronger. Thank you for your patience. We are well prepared to face these challenging times and we are working hard to put the safety of our people and customers at the forefront of all our services.
